Supervisor

As Supervisor you will:

  • Support the Management team with all aspects of the day to day running of the restaurant.
  • It is your responsibility to set high standards for all other staff in regards to time keeping, service and cleanliness.
  • In the absence of a manager, you must take control of all arising situations ie. Customer complaints. Always inform manager.
  • To report any suspicious activity by fellow staff or customers to a manager immediately.
  • To act as a go between for staff and management
  • Assist with weekly orders and constantly communicate to AGM about level of stock so that we never go without anything. Shopping list needs to be done by Wednesday and Friday AM.
  • Supervision of weekly stock deliveries
  • Ensure that all stock is put away in a tidy, secure and workable system
  • Completion of deep clean and daily check sheets
  • Conduct weekly meeting with management team to discuss any relevant issues.
  • Be part of the restaurant team take orders and serve guests as and when required
  • Provide guests with the best customer service
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, BOH and FOH staff 
  • Coordinate / Manage daily restaurant operations in senior’s management absence
  • Make sure the restaurant is clean ensuring all areas are tidy and well presented at all times
  • Encourage increased level of performance by assisting with the performance appraisal system and succession planning of the restaurant
  • Oversee the welfare of all restaurant staff
  • Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Follow company standards and best practice concerning food hygiene, health and safety and ensure others are also. You will lead by example and coach others to do the same. You will ensure you are familiar with existing and new policies
  • To report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible

Desired key skills we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience working as a supervisor in the hospitality industry or similar role
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team to ensure excellence
  • Able and comfortable working under pressure
  • Good F&B knowledge
  • IT proficient
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a pro-active problem-solving approach
  • Committed and willing to take responsibility and grow within the role
  • Qualified in Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and other related training, and willing to work towards progressing to the next step.
