The incredible journey of the crab we are serving today at Spaghetti House!

The crab season is here!
Our Head Chef Angelo has created some new seasonal dishes using fresh Portland crab from Dorset, these are definitely must try dishes!

Linguine with fresh Portland crab, a dash of tomato sauce, fennel seeds, white wine & chilli

Fresh Portland crab, oak smoked salmon, dill, crème fraîche, courgette, asparagus & green salad

The Portland Crab we are using is so good because it is always fresh and never pasteurised. The crabs are caught using traditional potting methods and sustainable practices, once landed each crab is hand selected, checked against legal size and delivered back to the port of Weymouth. Safely back in port, the crabs are sent to the Portland Shellfish Company, where a team of highly skilled crab pickers assemble to cook and hand-pick each and every crab, removing the tasty white and brown meat

Within 24 hours the crab is packed and sent to London and beyond, for us all to enjoy!
That is FRESH!
